Mayor Judy Ritter recently delivered her 2018 State of the City Address at the Vista Civic Center, which highlighted some of Vista’s significant achievements in the past year. Among them were a $6 million investment in road and infrastructure improvements and $10 million in renovations and upgrades over the past two years for the city’s 13 parks.
“When I first addressed you seven years ago as your new mayor, I pledged to improve our public safety, grow our economy, and lay the foundation for a better future. With the crime rate at a 20-year low, quick emergency responses, increased city reserves, smoother and better paved roads, and a significant investment in our parks, we are fulfilling that commitment,” she said. Mayor Ritter also commented that the City would be conducting two community meetings in March to seek input for developments of the Pala Vista community park.
