cm_popwarner2The Vista Pop Warner (VPW) Midget cheer team recently competed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney Resort in Florida. After placing ninth in the nation, they will continue on to another national competition in Las Vegas in January along with the VPW Jr. Pee Wee cheer team. The Midget cheer team’s achievements come after earning second place at the Palomar Conference competition in October, and second place at the regional competition against all Wescon cheer teams in November, as well as countless hours of fundraising during the holiday season. VPW Midget Cheer Head Coach Amber Arredondo shared, “I started out this season like so many other seasons, just hoping for each of my girls to develop or continue to grow a love for a very demanding and difficult sport in competitive cheerleading. They have bonded like no other group I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and I am so proud to have been a part of that with them. I want to say congratulations to my team for all they have overcome and accomplished so far and I know they will do amazing come January.” For more information visit www.gofundme.com/5r2rbqp8.
